The Shaikh of Bahrain lias asked mo for
my "personal" opinion as to whether he might
undertake to repair the Mosque at Zubarah.
2. One of the provisions of the arrangement
by which the Al Khali fall were allowed to return
to Zubarah was that they should not do any build­
ing there. On the other hand, it seems unlikely/
that any Muslim would raise objections to anothers .
repairing a Mosque. Perhaps you could sound
some of the Qatar people (Saleh al Manl'?) as to
what Shaikh All bin Abdullah's reaction would
bo to the proposal? I do not think Plant's
opinion would of any value.
3. There is no hurry about replying.
