quieting the reports in paragraphs 128 and 139
of your Diary giving reactions to the return of
the Na'iin to Zubarah socin to be. Could you
please let no have u further report as soon us
possible giving the latest news about the
A1 Thanis (und principally Shaikh Abdullah's)
reactions in the matter of Zubarah? I am go­
ing to the Truciul Const on the 81st and not
returning bore till, at the curliest, the 5th,
and at the latest the 8th of June, lf you
think that a visit from mo to Shaikh Ali or any
other action is necessary to deal with the menace
to such sottlemont as has boon achieved, then
ploos© do not hesitato to telegraph your recom­
mendation. Pleaso tell Plant that we regard
the Zubbroh settlement us of greutest importance
and are relying upon his help in keeping it in­
tact.
