Announcement by His Highness

With roforence to our declaration issued on December 10,

1956, in which we announced the formation of municipal
councils for a period of one year only, we have issued our
command to the municipalities to undertake directly the

drawing-up of electoral lists in preparation for the
holding of elections for the members of the municipal
councils in accordance with the rules and regulations in
force in the country.

The existing municipal councils will continue until
it iB possible to form the next councils in those
praiseworthy efforts which they have carried out during
this year in the discharging of their mission to the

common good.
