forbid tlio oxport of arms, but forbado their being sold in Bahrein and Katr;
but be did not forbid their boiug talcon to Muscat, Oman, Bushiro or othor
plaoes in Persia.
I can easily provo that arms were sold in Bahrein itsolf and on the Arab
Coast against tho oondition contained .in the concession. The son of Shoikh
Jasim-biu-Thani, for instanoo, used to como and buy arms.
All that I havo statod above is truo beforo God.

After compliments.—-I beg to inform your honourable self in reference to
the concession which I transferred to you.
According to the torms for importing arms into Bahroin, I now do not
oonsider it favourable that after this you should import arms into Bahroin,
and let it bo prohibited for four months, and then I will acquaint you with
what my observation may docido regarding tbo same.
