The Brigade was commanded by Major C.. C. Crick throughout the
year.
In spite of the fact that at no time did the various units of the Brigade
have their full complement of British officers, great progress was made during
the year in the training of the force and it is at the time of writing a fine
example of what can be produced from the most unpromising^ material by the
zeal and skill of a handful of British Officers and Non-Commissioned Officers.
The prestige of the force is very high and there is keen competition among the
yqunger relations of local notables to 6orve in the commissioned ranks*
