The remaining two cases were vory unueuul, as
they arose out of the "Comet" disaster lust January in which
the aircraft cruuhed Into the eoa near ELBA. A number of
Buliruin persons wore on board, including two persons subject
to tho jurisdiction of the Court, employees of the Buhruin
Petroleum Company, Although the deaths occurred outside Bahrain,
the cases still came within Article 47 (l), since the personal
effects and money balances of the deceased remained with the
Company in Bahrain. In one case Letters of Administration
were granted by the Principal Probate Registry in England
and registered with this Court against payment of the proper
court fees.
Tho other case is still pending. Moot unhappily
tho deceased*s wife and baby daughter wore killed with him
in the some disaster, and the question of succession is a
little involved. If the preouinption bo followed that the
deaths occurred in order of age, then tho man's estate
probably dovolvod wholly on tho wife, and on her death it
trussed to tiie child: on tho child's death to her next-of-kin
presumably all surviving grandparents, The domicile is
Scotland, and the Edinburgh Commissary Court haa still not
made any grunt. 1'n order to clear up the estato in Bahrain
there uppearo to be no reason why tills Court should not grant
Letters of Administration on the uaual affidavit backed by
a Ouaruntce, and this has been so Btated, Btrictly speuklng,
this Court ought perhaps to require representation to be
granted In the oases of the wife and Infant as well, but it
is desli'od to Bave unnecessary expense and complication to
the family.
