     Initiated and completed an asset management and maintenance study for all City buildings
                      Negotiated and executed multi-year, on-call maintenance agreements with multiple vendors
                   within specific disciplines (ex.  Plumbing, electricians, general contractors, roofers, etc.)
                      Negotiated and instituted a dedicated ‘route’ for elevator maintenance service resulting in higher
                   levels of service and faster response times
                      Negotiated an extension of janitorial services in a favorable agreement during labor uncertainty
                   within the region and industry
                      Conducted a bidding process for new janitorial services with higher levels of service and reducing
                   fees by approximately $10,000 per month from current service
                      Instituted ‘script’ for Commission Chair for guidance during Commission meetings
                      Instituted an agenda planning system for future Commission agenda items
                      Implemented new methodology for replacement funding of heavy equipment assets (Fire Apparatus)
                      Expansion of the City’s Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure, including forging a relationship with
                   UCLA’s SmartGrid Program as a Pilot Site
                      Led the development and presentation of a comprehensive Electric Vehicle Charging policy which
                   was accepted by the City Council/Parking Authority (Commendation from SCE for PEV Readiness)
                      Providing staff support and actively working on Disabled Parking legislative reform
                      Expansion of Special Events support programs, including Bistro Rodeo, tree lighting throughout the
                    City, summer and holiday BOLD programming,
                      Contracting, coordinating and supporting Portraits of Hope exhibit to coincide with BOLD programing

                 Duties and Responsibilities
                      Approximately 110 Employees and Operating Budget of $24,000,000
                      Ensure the City is meeting and exceeding the expectations of residents, visitors, businesses and
                   other customers in the providing of parking and transportation services
                      Responsible and accountable for the goals, objectives, polices, procedures and priorities to
                   create, implement and promote an integrated and coordinated parking/transportation system
                      Leadership and management of the selection, training, development retention and performance of
                   a diverse working unit, including five municipal bargaining groups which include classified service,
                   safety-support, exempt, management and supervisory and part-time classifications
                      Leadership, direction, responsibility and accountability for the City's parking/ transportation
                   programs, including management, supervisory and line staff for the on-street and off-street
                   programs, enforcement, meters, taxi and valet services, and collections, counting, reconciliation
                   and auditing programs.
                      Recommend, present and respond to five-member City Council and Council appointed five-member
                   Traffic & Parking Commission, community groups, professional organizations, joint powers
                   authorities, and intergovernmental agencies and commissions.
                      Strategic planning of the City’s programs, including rates, operations, new facility construction,
                   new program development, and customer service delivery
                      Liaison with the City’s Police and Fire Departments for safety support services
                      Liaison with intergovernmental and regional agencies, committees and community groups


                 Achievements
                      Initiated Best Practices analysis of City’s parking system to improve services and create financial
                   sustainability, including drafting of a transition plan for the future organizational structure of the
                   Parking and Transportation programs
                      Participation in EIR/EIS for construction of Public Private Partnerships and multi-use
                   developments including the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts (The Wallis), Montage
                   Hotel and Public Gardens, and the Metro Westside Subway Extension
