Mr. Prabhajit Kumar Sarkar is the Managing Director & CEO of
Power Exchange India Ltd since May 2018. He has led PXIL’s
turnaround and is charting out its growth trajectory while also
playing a key role in shaping the power markets for the future

for the country.

Under his leadership, PXIL has reinvented itself as a customer-

centric technology-focused organization that has led to PXIL’s
attaining leadership position in the Term Ahead Market
segment and fast growth in other segments as well.

With his prior experiences in PTC India Ltd, Larsen & Toubro,

India Power Corporation Ltd. as well as PXIL in its formative
years, Prabhajit brings a deep and varied experience in the
power sector spanning across power generation, distribution,

trading as well as development of power markets in the
country.
