      NURSING SCHOOL OUTREACH EVENTS
      OUR ONGOING ENDEAVOR TO HIRE THE BEST AND BRIGHTEST NEW GRADUATE CANDIDATES


       We make it a priority to recruit from strong nursing programs. We focus on schools with excellent BSN
       programs and high NCLEX pass rates.

         This year our department attended a mix of virtual and in person events at 10 different colleges.
         Besides the traditional career fairs (virtual and in person) we participated in a number of “meet and
         greet” events geared towards senior nursing students where a nurse recruiter gives a presentation
         and allows students to ask questions about the recruitment process. This strategy has been used
         in our department for the past couple of years and has increased the outreach to our senior nursing
         students.

         The recruiters also provide support for the University of Michigan School of Nursing by conducting
         resume and interviewing workshops to prepare students for the job search ahead.
