        REFERENCE ASSESSMENTS HELP SET UP EMPLOYEES FOR SUCCESS!



        Reference assessments of potential candidates are a crucial element of the RN screening and the hiring
        process at University of Michigan Health. A web-based, structured assessment tool, facilitated by Symplr,
        provides both objective and relevant perceptions of potential candidates and are mandatory for external
        RNs being considered.

        The feedback provides insight and details into a candidate’s communication skills, professional
        relationships, and job skills, allowing managers to focus on hiring the best person for the role.


        Providing a consistent, structured process for evaluating professional references improves hiring decisions,
        reduces turnover, and ultimately leads to providing safe, quality care.
