DESCRIPTIVE PARAGRAPH
Multitasking
1 Can people really multitask, and is it even a good thing to do? Recent research
2
3
indicates the answer to both those questions could be no. According to research,
when people multitask, they are not actually focusing on more than one thing at once
even though think that they are. Instead, they are moving their attention between the
4
tasks they are doing. Moving their focus between tasks can be very tiring, and this is a
5
7
6
problem. Because people are less likely to perform tasks well when they are tired. For
these reasons, the next time you try to accomplish more than one challenging task at a
time, you might think about just completing one task and then moving on to the next.
8 You might find that you complete both your tasks better and faster that way.
