Even after 24 years of graduating from MJKPS, whenever I think of my school, I experience warmth
and loving acceptance. It still feels like a place you can call ‘home’, where you feel safe and wanted.
I believe that it is this sense of security that I experienced in those days that has helped me to be self-
assured and confident in difficult situations even today. If we consider success to be the ability to be
happy, independent of outside circumstances, then the spiritual grounding established in school
years is very important for everyone. And I cherish the memory of the MJKPS on-campus
‘gurudwara’, and the assembly where we would sing ‘shabads’. I had friends not just in my
classmates, but even in my teachers. I personally feel that any school can teach the NCERT
syllabus, but only a few schools take care of students like their own children and MJKPS would rank
amongst the toppers there. I feel immense gratitude for the school and all the teachers who
nurtured me. May they always be blessed with joy and love – the same things they blessed me with.

My Alma Mater, My ExistenceIn today’s Glocal age - we are heading towards jobs that
require smart, vocal and confident youth. Basic life skills, an engaging personality and a
poised demeanour pave the path of success. My 14 years of education at MJKPS, made
my personality holistic and socially acceptable. I can proudly say that I have what it
takes to take challenges head-on. I don’t fear -professionally and personally demanding
situations. I attribute a huge part of my development to my Alma Mater, not only did it
inculcate the importance of education in me but also kept me rooted to my values. Over
these years, my school’s teachings worked silently in the background in my
development, without me even realizing it. It has been 12 years since I left school and I
am proud to be a Jaikaurian!

When a 4 year old child enters a school building for the first time, they are not really
sure what’s in store for them. Will it be long before they’re able to leave? Is this the
right place for them to thrive? Will it cater to their uniqueness? Will they ever come
back?
MJKPS answered most of these questions for me in the 14 years I spent there, but
the first thing I noticed about the school was its sense of balance. The symmetrical
the
beautiful spaces we took for granted in the years to come. In time these translated
to become the very values MJKPS stands for- thought before action, humility before
pride, conviction before fear. It’s been 6 years since I left school, but I continue to
learn from my time there, the lessons taking on new meanings as life changes year
on year, and a bit too much in 2020! As
