In the morning, the whole group was invited to take a

day-long boat trip up into Glacier Bay to see the glaciers

and the wild life. They headed down to the dock and

boarded the boat, passing two herons standing

motionless on the shore and an eagle perched on the

post by the dock. But there was no sign of Joe.

There were benches with a table between and

binoculars on each seat. The boat moved slowly out of

the harbour and rounded an island before heading up

into the bay. The captain of the boat invited Gallina and

Barry to join him while he piloted the boat and pointed

out wildlife.

"Whale spout at ten o'clock."
