the faculty members are evaluated as follows:
Section One: Instructional duties.
Section Two: Participation in program and course development and implementation of quality
models
Section Three: Personal qualities and skills.
Section Four: Research and career development.
Section Five: Participation in committees and administrative work.
Section six: Community and university service.
The assessment is based on all sections according to their ratings. The average is calculated by
dividing the sum of ratings by the number of factors.

Also, official committees are formed, and tasks are distributed related to the program’s self-study
to all faculty members in the department according to the documents and it was approved by the
scientific department council of the meeting attached to the following (Annex S1-1-2-6). The
program has an academic advising committee that takes care of student affairs, students are
divided among all faculty members to carry out these tasks (Annex S1-1-2-7). The faculty member
and their loads are listed as shown (Annex S1-1-2-8), and its approval in Mechanical engineering
department council No.1, topic No.5 (Annex S1-1-2-9). Samples of the schedules of faculty
members are listed (Annex S1-1-2-10). The extent of teaching staff satisfaction can also be
measured by questionnaire the job satisfaction of teaching staff (Annex S1-1-2-11), the average
result of the Job satisfaction questionnaire among faculty members in a Mechanical engineering
program is 3.54 on a 5-point scale. The highest rating was for the item “respect and appreciation”
among my work colleagues, this creates a collaborative environment in the scientific department,
which helps to complete work and innovation.
