2-1 Learning Outcomes

2-1-1 The program identifies its intended learning outcomes that are consistent with its

mission, and aligned with the specialized academic standards and the graduate attributes at the

institutional level; they are approved, publicly disclosed, and periodically reviewed.

The program has its own mission, which is “Preparation of distinct engineering staff specialists in
mechanical engineering able to cope with the needs of the labor market and providing innovative

research and unique community services in the framework of innovation, quality, independence,

            and ethical values.”
In addition, the mission of the (MENG) program contains the following Key Components:

KM1MENG: Preparation of distinct mechanical engineering staff.

                  KM2MENG: Providing innovative research.

                  KM3MENG: Providing unique community services.

KM4MENG: Innovation, quality, independence and ethical values.
In order to accomplish this mission, five program goals were established, which align with the

program learning outcomes as shown in Table S2.1.1.1 and Table S2.1.1.2. The Program Graduate

Attributes (PGA) is listed in the Table S2.1.1.3. The alignment between the goals of the MENG
program and the mission of the MENG program is shown in Table S2.1.1.4 and consistency

between the PLOs and the program goals is shown in Table S2.1.1.5. While, the alignment of PGAs

with Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs) is presented in Table S2.1.1.6. Finally, the University

Learning Outcomes (ULOs) and the alignment between the PGAs and ULOs are listed in Table

S2.1.1.7 and Table S2.1.1.8 respectively (Annex S2-1-1-1 Program Specification, page no. 5-13).

            Knowledge and Understanding
Recognize the education necessary to understand the impact of mechanical
K1 engineering solutions to economic, environmental and society and to improving
                    quality of life.
K2 Recognize the knowledge of contemporary issues in mechanical engineering fields.
Describe modern information technology and techniques to perform tasks
              K3
                    efficiently and effectively.
            Skills
Formulate, and solve complex mechanical engineering problems by applying
                S1
principles of engineering, science, and mathematics.
