            program level). Each assessment section involves additional criteria demonstrated in (Annex S4-0-

            6-2 Evaluation of faculty members by the department head). On the other hand, the students also
            contribute to the faculty assessment by filling out the survey for each course at the end of the

            term (Annex S4-0-6-3 Questionnaire of student’s satisfaction with learning outcomes).



            Overall Evaluation for Quality of the Standard:

            Strengths:

                •  The proportion of teaching staff leaving the institution in year 1444 H (2022-2023), KPI

                   value (0%) is found to be less than the target benchmark (1 %).
                •  New teaching staff receives training courses at the start of each academic year by Al-Baha

                   University.

                •  The training courses which are provided to the teaching staff improve their academic

                   performance and career development.

                •  Areas and priorities for Improvement:

                In this section, we delve into the areas and priorities for improvement. These aspects can be
                summarized as follows:

                    •  Eight faculty members need to be recruited in the department.

                    •  Encourage the teaching staff to publish more papers in order to obtain higher academic

                       ranking.
                    •  The online training courses might increase the number of attendees and expand the

                       available time throughout the day which contributes to the quality of the educational

                       process.

                    •  Teaching staff should participate effectively in community services related to
                       mechanical engineering.

                    •  Fostering research partnerships between engineering college departments.

                    •  Accessibility of software such as MATLAB and (ANSYS or COMSOL) for students and

                       faculty members.
