FOUNDRY PRODUCTION

               As a result of the research carried out on
        the processes of casting formation on the basis
        of  computer  modeling,  it seems  possible to
        proceed to experimental studies of the quality
        of casting manufacturing; cutting out templates
        from different casting zones; investigation of
        macro- and microstructure, location of porosity
        and non-metallic inclusions; determination of
        mechanical  properties  on  samples  cut  from
        various casting zones, including those with a
        casting crust.
               Based  on the  results of  experimental
        studies of the quality of a casting made using
        a computer model, a designer and a casting
        technologist  are  finalizing  the  design  of  a
        cast  part  and  its manufacturing  and  control
        technology, which makes it possible to design
        a casting complex using engineering logistics.
               The     foundry      complex      engineering
        logistics represents  a  solution to  a  complex
        analytical,  organizational  and  technological
        problem.  To  successfully solve  this problem
        and  achieve  the  goals  of  the  project,  the
        enterprise  needs  to  implement  a  program
        of  control  actions  aimed  at  the  formation  of
        special working structures  and  the  rational
        use of labor and intelligence of the members
        of  the logistics  engineering  team.  Rational
        project management within the framework of
        engineering logistics is one of the fundamental factors in achieving the set goals. To achieve
        the set goals, it is necessary to break the project management work into stages. This applies
        equally to both the existing and the newly created enterprise. Project management of a foundry
        complex  based  on  engineering  logistics  requires  a  deep  understanding  of  the  essence  and
        specifics of technological processes. Therefore, the project should be implemented under the
        supervision of one or a group of top managers of the enterprise with high professional knowledge
        and experience. Unwillingness to admit the mistakes made, ignoring large and small problems
        inevitably leads to the loss of the company's competitive advantages in the market. The stage
        of project preparation is the formalization of the task of conducting logistics engineering.
