Abstract:
This study was to evaluate the food knowledge and compliance of food handlers with Food Hygiene
Regulations 2009 in Cyberjaya Selangor, Malaysia. A total of 261 food handlers in Cyberjaya area,
Sepang, Selangor, participated in the study. Data was collected through surveys by means of
questionnaires. Socio-demographic information of all respondents was collected. Questions on
Malaysia Food Hygiene regulations 2009 knowledge and compliance were assessed. The data were
analyzed by using Statistical Packages for Social Science (SPSS) 27. Results showed that Knowledge
of Food Hygiene Regulations 2009 and Compliance Food Hygiene Regulations 2009 have a statistically
significant positive linear relationship (p<.001). It indicates the greater the knowledge Food Hygiene
Regulations 2009, the higher the level of Compliance.
