SLIEVERUE ACTIVE RETIREMENT
ASSOCIATION, CO. KILKENNY
A very active group, Slieverue ARA have been travelling the country from their base
in South Kilkenny for years now, and always enjoy the craic wherever they go.
In recent years, they have begun to enjoy their close surrounds too, as quite often
the attractions on our doorstep are well worth a visit. Since 2010 they have visited
places of interest in the Hook Peninsula in Wexford, West Waterford, South Tipperary
and their own home county of Kilkenny, as well as places further afield like Mayo.
They are also a very creative group, and their play “Settling In” was one of the
highlights of the local Bealtaine Arts Festival celebrations.
