Piazza di Siena and its typical scallop-shell shape.
Day 3: off to Firenze for a tour of the city.
On day 4, we drove through the Montalcino region, which
specializes in the great wines of Tuscany, including 'Brunello
di Montalcino'.
On the 5th and final day, we left the "Il Mulino" hotel and
visited Lucca, before dropping off our bikes in Pisa and
taking the plane back to Gosselies.

In 2006, along with 3 friends 138 , we decided to spend a few
days in the Périgord region. From May 24 to 31, we set off on
a 7-day run.
We had booked the villa "La Truffière", with hotel service,

part of the Relais & Château "Hôtel du Centenaire". Our
route took us through Champagne, Auvergne-Limousin and
Périgord. We passed through various towns before arriving
at our villa in Les Eyzies-de-Tayac.
We enjoyed some lovely walks and visited the beautiful
villages of Sarlat and Rocamadour.

In 2007, with 2 of the 3 buddies from our 2006 getaway

in the Périgord, we organized a trip to Rome. Our route took
us through the Jura, the mountains between France and
Switzerland, and along the Swiss lakes. In Italy, we met up
with two motorcycle couples 140 , with whom we spent two
