“Excellence is the gradual result of always striving to do better.”
As we present the second edition of E-copy of The Golden Rock Chronicles, the Computer
Department reflects on a year of remarkable progress, driven by student dedication and
teacher innovation.
In today’s digital age, computing is no longer a future skill—it’s a present necessity. At
Nilsen College, we believe that integrating computing across all subjects empowers
students to thrive in a technology-driven society.
Our department continues to uphold a legacy of achievement:
• FY12CE (2020): Jone Vono Koroisovau scored 99/100
• FY13CE (2021): Jone Vono Koroisovau & Litiana Naikatalautabua scored 98/100
For nine consecutive years, we’ve maintained a 100% pass rate in both Year 12 and Year
13 external examinations—a testament to the strength of our teaching and the resilience
of our learners.
Our success is built on more than lessons—it’s shaped by:
• Afternoon enrichment sessions
• Online learning platforms
• Saturday and night classes
• Peer tutoring initiatives
These efforts ensure that every student has the opportunity to succeed.
We extend sincere thanks to the administrative team for their steadfast support. As we
look ahead, we remain committed to fostering digital fluency, academic excellence, and a
culture of continuous improvement.
To our students: may your efforts be richly rewarded. To our colleagues and community:
let us continue to innovate, collaborate, and inspire.
Wishing you a merry Christmas and a happy new year.
