Harley played in really deep snow, unknown in Texas, in drifts that
were waist deep. He would run across the crusted top layer until his
weight caused him to break through into the soft layer beneath. The
crusty pieces made great snow missiles to throw at Kevin.

Their next scheduled attraction was an Ice Sculpture Contest,
clearly an amazing spectacle with some ice exhibits over twenty feet
tall including archways, seal, bear, and many other characters which
were backlit at night with color. When informed of Harley's visual
impairment, the sculptors allowed Harley to touch their artwork. To
Harley's amazement there were also huge slides made out of ice for
his sledding pleasure.
Offsetting the cold activities, they headed to Chena Hot Springs
Resort nestled in snow topped mountains. Soon all three were sitting
in the hot springs enjoying the frozen view surrounding them. That
night, they climbed on board the Snow Coach tractor in search of the
amazing northern lights which are best observed in complete darkness
on cloudless nights. In the darkness, the snow banks still sparkled like
