crystals. While waiting and hoping for the clouds to clear, they
viewed their surroundings. Kevin made note that the outhouses were
made of thick logs and actually had heaters inside—another
tantalizing toilet story qualifying for title of “nicest local outhouse”.
But the night was just too cloudy to see any northern lights.
The next day, their adventure in this icy landscape included a dog
sled ride and an ice museum tour which gave Harley an opportunity to
experiment with some of the tools used to create ice sculptures. They
even enjoyed eating an ice cream sundae out of an ice sculptured,
martini glass. When finished, they ceremoniously dropped the ice
glass into the hot springs and watched it quickly dissolve.
