To their immense pleasure, the following night, at midnight they
awoke to shouts of, “The lights are out! The lights are out!” Quickly
pulling on warm coats, they rushed outside to a nearby airstrip. With
amazement, they discovered they could see a brilliant, neon ribbon of
greenish light waving against the dark sky. Harley, although visually
impaired, was able to slightly discern the radiance in the sky above
him as he stood with his parents in -10 degree cold nearly two hours
        watching the magnificent, breathtaking phenomenon.
