JUDY K JOHNSON

Harley bonded with both his parents in his love of books. Though
Beth preferred adventure, fantasy, action books such as “Harry
Potter,” Rick Riordin books about mythological demigods, and John
Flanagan books like “Ranger's Apprentice” and “Brotherband
Chronicles.” Kevin preferred sillier comedic books such as “Captain
Underpants,” and Shel Silverstein books like “Where the Sidewalk
Ends.” Kevin also shared historically orientated books like
biographies of Daniel Boone and other old west characters. All three
enjoyed John Grisham Books, particularly, “Theodore Boone.”

Following similar tastes in movies, Beth and Harley liked Harry
Potter movies, enjoying DVD marathons watching “Goblet of Fire” or
“Chamber of Secrets.” Beth's favorite was “Prisoner of Azkaban.”
Kevin and Harley watched comedy movies like “Blazing Saddles,”
“Airplane,” “Vegas Vacation,” and “Dude, Where's My Car.”

TV shows preferred by Beth and Harley were “Buffy the Vampire
Slayer” which they binge watched from time to time. “The Big Bang
Theory” reinforced their fondness for nerd humor. Kevin and Harley
watched comedic TV shows like “Seinfeld,” “That 70's Show,” and
“Two and a Half Men.” Cartoons, such as “SpongeBob SquarePants,”
“King of the Hill,” and “South Park” were also a hit.
Regarding sports, Harley and Beth loved to swim which was
represented by their love of going to beaches. They made up their
own personal game similar to Marco Polo called Crocodile Eyes. It
originated when Harley would try to catch Beth when she was
swimming laps. It evolved into a hide-n-seek style game with Beth
trying to swim up on Harley without him noticing her. If he caught
her first, he won—and vice versa. (Harley's secret trick was to track
Beth by the scent of her perfume.) The adventure game's title
represented Beth's teasing commentary, “I'm just a little gazelle trying
to cross the stream. Please, don't catch me Mr. Crocodile.”
Kevin and Harley both really enjoyed trampoline jumping, and
they both liked to go tubing in Rio Frio with friends. Beth's choice
was going to Schlitterbahn to float down the river.
Kevin and Harley shared enjoyment of card games like Blackjack.
Harley had a card shoe and shuffler. He had numerous decks of
