SOVSC PURCHASED
NEW CT MACHINE:
THE VIMAGO™
More good news from Southern Oregon
Veterinary Specialty Center: they recently
purchased a new piece of technology that is
revolutionary in the veterinary world. The new
Vimago™ CT machine is top-of-the-line, and
SOVSC has the only one in Southern Oregon.
It’s a high-definition, multifaceted platform
that is mobile but also capable of imaging the
entire patient in one series, even very large
dogs. With 30x higher definition than standard
CT scanners, the Vimago is able to perform
soft tissue contrast to an exceptional stand-
ard, which means easier and faster diagnosis
possibilities.
The machine’s mobility allows it to be moved
throughout the facility for diagnostic and inter-
ventional purposes. Smaller than traditional
CT scanners, it can fit into a room just 3m x
4m, and is so light it doesn’t require reinforced
floors. It uses 60-90% less radiation than a
standard CT machine, which means it doesn’t

local Rogue Valley businesses.
“We are so pleased to offer this donation to No Pet Left Behind,” says Dr. Diana Schropp,
Managing Doctor at SOVS. “This [NPLB] is an incredible organization, and they work
hard for pets and their owners in our area who need it most.” The partnership between
the two organizations has provided numerous animals with medical treatments and edu-
cated the public about vaccinations and proper pet care and health. SOVSC doctors and
technicians donate their time and resources. Pauline Redon, Founder of NPLB, expressed
gratitude for the ongoing support and the donation.
Southern Oregon Veterinary Specialty Center serves Southern Oregon and Northern
California, providing emergency care, diagnostics and surgery on a referral or emergency
basis. No Pet Left Behind is a charity founded on the belief that no pet should suffer the
consequences of having owners who do not have the financial means to provide care
necessary for their pet to live a safe, healthy and happy life. It is their mission to provide
funds for necessary veterinary procedures, resources for vaccinations, spay/neuter ser-
vices. They also provide food, collars, coats, leashes and other items for the pets of low/
no income owners.
