Also Matthew 1 v21 'You shall call his name Jesus, for
He shall save his people from their sins.'

Because God Himself has provided the remedy to escape
from Sin and its consequences, i.e. has given a way of
Salvation, IT IS THE ONLY WAY and there is not another
one. Acts 4 v12 'there is no other name under heaven
given among men whereby we may be saved.'

Therefore it cannot be ignored in the hope that God will give it
anyway. Hebrews 2 v3 'how shall we escape if we ignore
such a great salvation?' and 2Thessalonians 1 v 8 'He
will punish those those who do not know God and do not
obey the gospel (good news) of our Lord Jesus.'
When the word salvation is used in the Bible it is associated
with three conditions.

1. Being saved from sin.

2. Delivered from physical diseases.

3. Freedom from material wants.

It is why it is referred to as the great salvation.

So why is this salvation great?

1. Salvation is great because of its author, God the Father,
who planned for it from the beginning.

2Timothy 1 v9 'God, who has saved us and called us to
a holy life - not because of anything we have done but
because of His own purpose...'
