Repentance from sin

sin gets nothing of value from it.

8. Sin is a mistake.

It means to be like one who is on a journey and ends up lost
and wandering around without protection from enemies.
Isaiah 53 v6 'We all like sheep have gone astray, each
of us has turned to His own way ...'

9. Sin causes a man's soul to be guilty before God.
There is no escape from the guilt of sin even when a person
denies that they have sinned. Ezekiel 18 v4 'For every
living soul belongs to me (God) .......... The soul that sins
is the one who will die'.

10. Sin produces a state of wickedness.

All who are activated by sin become desperately wicked with
horrible consequences. Psalm 9 v17 'The wicked return to
the grave'.

11. Sin ruins life and hope, by distortion.

Romans 7 v19,20 'For what I do is not the good I want to
do; no the evil I do NOT want to do, this I keep on doing.
Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who
do it but the sin living in me.'

12. Sin defiles & corrupts the soul.

It makes a person like one with a loathsome disease. Isaiah
1 v6 'From the soul of your foot to the top of your head,
there is no soundness only wounds, bruises and open
sores, not cleansed or bandaged or soothed with oil'.
The corruption of the soul leads to the ultimate stupidity of
thought. Psalm 14 v1 'The fool in his heart says there is
