Repentance from sin

                In other words the ransom price was in the form of a
                punishent, not against mankind but instead against Jesus
                Christ himself.

                There are a number of words used in the Bible that have
                been translated into redeemed or redemption. They have the
                following senses to them;-

                To loose by a price; to purchase out; to set free; to tear
                away and rescue; division or separate between; to recover
                and revenge.

                So man's redemption has been achieved and gives him
                the opportunity of a new life, eternal life, freedom,
                exemption from God's punishment.

                A list of Benefits include:-

                Freedom from - All iniquity; the curse and bondage of God's
                law; the power of sin; a pointless way of life; all evil; all
                trouble;  distress  and  adversity;  deceit;  destruction;  death;
                Hell; the hand of Satan; our enemies:

                And gives us -

                Foregiveness of sins;

                it brings joy and a holy walk;

                it delivers from fear Isaiah 41 v10 'so do not fear for I am
                with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your God.';

                it makes us God's own possesion, not our own Isaiah 43 v 1
                ' ...fear not, for I have redeemed you, I have summoned
                you by name: you are mine.'
