FEAR UNMA S KED

this mindset is so rare is likely rooted in conventional
               education. Conventional education often gives
multiple choice tests where one answer is right
and three are wrong. In business, there is rarely
one definitively right answer but rather multiple
options, each having various pros and cons. They
teach us in school that there are clearly defined
rules, but in business, we rarely find complete clarity

in regulations and are often forced to deal with
               conflicting regulations.
In school, they teach us to reach consensus—
vanilla decisions that semi-please everyone. However,
the market tends to reward bold actions. Most
importantly, in school, we are taught to get a job and
seek immediate payment. Yet entrepreneurial success

is largely dependent upon thoughtful risk taking and
delayed gratification. Entrepreneurs are not looking
for success in the short term, they are looking for long
term success. They are normally playing chess not
checkers. My friends, what this means is that it’s not
surprising that entrepreneurs would be less swayed
from groupthink and would be more likely to offer
a dissenting opinion on the COVID-19 lockdown
strategy. How does a pragmatic entrepreneur look

at the COVID-19 issue? Let’s look at how Canada’s
top CPA, Josh Spurrell, started advising Canadian
               entrepreneurs on this issue.
