“REBUILD!” The rest of the colonists chanted

triumphantly. They got to work immediately,and decided

to rebuild everything from scratch. Bernard, Hugh, Al,

and Captain Thomas were each given one small hatchet

and one bigger axe. Most of the average townspeople

were doing the same, while some were using several

tools in order to carve the logs into beams to rebuild the

town. The more muscular colonists, the ones who

seemed to govern the colony, were nailing the boards

together and placing a roof on mud and hay atop them. It

was a slow and tedious process, but it was getting the

repairs done.
