            his tenure on the federal bench, “I have resolved

            and respect, and I have made sure that the male
            attorneys who appear before me do the same.”
              As for those everyday chores, both share
            washing the dishes and Deborah does most of
            the cooking. Judge Polster has always done the
            laundry and takes out the trash.

            David and Marilena are two litigators balancing
            busy practices with two sons. Marilena is
            currently a Partner at Elk & Elk, focusing on
            birth injuries, medical negligence, and personal
            injury. They were asked to tell about a memorable
            time when either supported the other’s legal
            career. Marilena described when David opened
            his own law practice:
              “David began his legal career as an associate at
            a large law firm defending civil cases. After a few
            years, and thoughtful reflection, he came to realize

            years, for which I will be forever grateful!
