MIL blood drive
On September 15th, the MIL DoD Business units ETS, REPS, and Cyber, sponsored MIL’s first-ever Southern Maryland Red
Cross Blood Drive. The drive was combined with a friends and family picnic featuring live music, games, food, and drinks. The
REPS Sector hosted the drive at their new integration facility on Willows Road in Lexington Park. The Red Cross posted a goal
of collecting 28 units and our team surpassed their goal and collected 31 productive units! Each unit of blood collected can
support up to three people, so the 31 units collected at the MIL drive could support the needs of over 90 people.
A big thanks to the 34 MIL staffers and associates who came to the event to donate. You just may have saved a life.

Sam Flowers receives REPS Sector “awesome” award!
By Tom Clark
I am pleased to announce that on Friday, August 12th, in front of a small group of peers, Sam
Flowers was awarded the REPS “Awesome Employee of the Moment Award!” Sam has shown great
initiative and has embraced taking on a leadership role while performing his assigned duties. This
past month he has been juggling annual inventory, loading/unloading delivery vehicles, preparing
new material for stage one inspections, receiving the material in MICS, providing project managers
and procurement with vouchers and updated list of materials received as well as requesting
direction of where the material will ship. Sam recently played a critical role while performing
material management for two very large and demanding projects. Sam often goes above and beyond
what is expected and is setting a great example that his supervisor and management team are very
proud of.
The Awesome Employee of the Moment Award recognizes REPS employees that have recently gone
above and beyond, showed initiative, or performed in such a way to have a positive influence on a customer, our REPS Sector, a
specific project, and/or coworker. The award not only comes with the coveting Awesome Employee of the Moment trophy, but
also a $500 cash award.
Congratulations, Sam!
