        Welcome to the “Ricky Building”

It’s official! MIL Sr. VP Tom Clark announced that MIL’s
newest facility in Southern Maryland finally has an
awesomely apropos appellation. “I’m proud to share with you
the announcement I made at Ricky Chesser’s retirement party
        - the new MIL building on Bradley Blvd. in Lexington Park,
MD will now and forever be known as MIL’s Rapid Integration
Center (RIC), also known as the “Ricky Building.”

“I’m excited about the naming of the building and thought it
was most fitting considering Ricky’s contributions, dedication,
and willingness in helping us design, develop, and implement
our new state of the art integration facility.” In short, Ricky
helped build the building. That’s just so Ricky.
After 15 years of dedicated and faithful service to MIL and the
REPS Sector, Ricky recently retired, saying so long to his many
friends and admirers at MIL and NAVAIR alike. And although
        he’s now enjoying a well-deserved post-work life, he’ll never
be forgotten. His name’s on the building after all.

Top fun: MIL at the movies

Top Gun: Maverick landed in movie houses nationwide and MIL DOD Business Unit was there to share the ride. On June 3rd,
over 100 MIL team members gathered together to enjoy a private screening of the sequel to 1986’s blockbuster movie Top Gun.
MIL moviegoers also enjoyed a tailgate event prior to the screening before kicking back in comfy stadium-style seats, popcorn
and drinks in hand, to be wowed by the much-anticipated show.
Before the screening, the military took a bow with a recruiting message for anyone interested in pursuing an exciting career
in aviation. The Navy generously provided producers with the use of military bases, aircraft carriers, and planes for the film’s
production—perhaps knowing that recruitment ads running before the movie would likely result in a significant uptick in
enlistment. After the original movie’s release over 35 years ago, the Navy experienced a 500 percent increase in applications for
        their much-coveted Naval Aviator positions!
Applause to everyone involved in organizing the day’s highly successful event!
See you again soon at the movies with MIL.
