The doctor gives Mrs. Shah an injection for tetanus and
an antibiotic.

Doctor : OK Ms. Shah. We are going to administer your mother an anaesthetic injection.
Ms. Shah : I do not understand.
Doctor : It is an injection to numb the pain. After the medicine starts to work, we will give her a

tetanus injection and an antibiotic.

Ms. Shah : I see.
Doctor : Is she fine for us to proceed?

Ms. Shah : She understands.

Doctor : Fine, Now Mrs. Shah, this is going to sting a little bit.
Ms. Shah : OK.

Doctor : Please let us know if this hurts.
Ms. Shah : OK.

Doctor : Right. Ms. Shah we are now going to give your mother two shots. One for tetanus, and one
antibiotic for any infection that might have occurred.
