certain appointed date and time. Qadi under his/her jurisdiction capacity will


                 provide the ruling of the case. Before ruling, the Qadi under the Islamic

                 Shariah will act as the mediator and will initiate the reconciliation process

                 between the two affected parties. If there is no possibility of reconstruction,


                 then the Qadi dissolve the broken marriage. Qadi should be honesty and


                 transparent when handling divorce issues.


          FEMALE RIGHTS AFTER KHULA DIVORCE



          After the marriage is dissolved harmoniously, the wife proceeds to do the following

          things according to the Islamic Shariah.



          1. Entering into a (waiting period) Iddah



            After divorce immediately the wife get into a period known as Iddah. At this

          period she is prohibited from remarrying till one complete menstrual cycle. Other


          jurists argue and recommend a divorced woman to sit on her Iddah at least on her

          three menstrual cycles. For those women who have undergone their menopause has


          to sit for at least three calendar months.


          During waiting period the two couples are given time to rethink and possible


          reconciliation their differences and return to each other. The other reason is that, the

          divorced woman is also checked if she is carrying a baby in her womb, and if she is

          found pregnant during this period, she will remain in iddah till she give birth as the


          teaching of the Holy Qur’an.



          Different Muslim scholars’ interpret differently concerning Iddah for women with

          irregular menstrual periods. Some argues that, woman with irregular menstrual
