Redemptive Plan Of God In Tithing

regarding why God would demand man to honour Him with the
tenth of his income is: The first question would be why the specific
instruction of ten (10%) and the next question then would be what
               the significance of tithing is?

               Spiritual truths about Tithing

“And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seeds of the land,
or the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s; it is holy unto the Lord…”
                  Leviticus 27:30 (KJV)

Ever wondered why the number ten (10)? As most of us would
suppose that it’s just one of the numbers. The number is very
instrumental and is part of God’s divine plan to redeem us, bring us
into fullness of what has been promised, through the covenant.

The prophetic significance of number ten, is redemption and
completeness. Therefore, it’s important to understand that when
we give the tenth of our income, it spiritually signifies that the
work of our hands are redeemed from the work of the enemy and
established in God. Let’s examine the few times where the number
ten (10) appears in the bible and what it signified.

The Jewish Passover feast was marked with the slaughter of the
lamb which was picked on the tenth (10) day,

“Tell all the congregation of Israel, on the tenth day of this month
they shall take every man a lamb or kid…” (Exodus 12:3)
                  (AMPC).

Christ later becomes our Passover Lamb of God that is given for
               our sins.
