Handmade Gnocchi




         Ingredients


          800g potatoes
          1.5 cups of flour
          Salt
         Method


          1. Scrub the potatoes well and boil in a pot of salty water until soft
          enough to mash
          2. Once thely've been boiled, peel them and mash with a knife
          until really smooth consistency
          3. Add the mashed potato to the flour and mix well until it's like a
          playdough like consistency
          4. Cut this up into four quarters and then you will need to roll out
          each quarter onto a long sausage and chop into bite size pieces
          5. You can add some lines to the pieces using a fork
          6. Bring a pot of water to the boil with 1tsp of salt and put your
          gnocchi in.
          Note: they should sink at first and once they begin to float it
          means they're ready!
          7. Drain and combine with your fave sauce (mine was using an
          arabbiata sauce which was made with some crushed dried
          chillies for spice)
