289  A Nagoya school cherry wood netsuke of a sleeping shôjô, by Mitsutame.
                 Mid-19th century

                 Asleep with head resting on the right hand, the knees drawn up to its body, the
                 robe with finely incised hanabishi, the hakama with cloud patterns in relief,
                 the long hair falling over its back. Signed Mitsutame in ukibori in a rectangular
                 reserve.
                 Height 3 cm; length 4.5 cm
