The jade is carved in low relief to both sides with confronted,
stylised, archaistic dragons above plain sides. The stone is of an
even white tone.

A WHITE JADE ‘TAOTIE’ PLAQUE
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The stone, of quatrefoil lobed form, is carved on both sides with
arcahistic taotie motifs and is flanked by a pair of rope-form loop
handles. The jade is of an even white tone.

A WHITE JADE PLAque
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
The plaque is of rectangular form and depicts a lion with a
brocade ball under its paw. The reverse is carved with the
characters yutang jinxiu, ‘Splendour of the Jade Hall’.
