The washer is of a compressed drum
form with a band of bosses encircling
the top and bottom of the exterior. The
transparent green metal is accented with
gold splashes.

A TRANSPARENT AUBERGINE
GLASS WINE CUP
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
The cup is of deep bell shape raised on a
gently splayed foot encircling a slightly
countersunk base. The base is incised with
an apocryphal Yongzheng four-character
mark. The transparent metal is of a deep
violet colour.
