the finely potted bell-shaped sides supported
on a low tapering foot, the exterior painted
all around with a lotus pond, the yellow and
pink blooms and variegated green pads
rising from the pale blue-green water below,
a heron wading in the shallows and another
flying above, the interior painted with an iron-
red goldfish at the well, the base with a six-
character seal mark in iron red
height 1¾ in., 4.4 cm
