A pair of famille rose and gilt ‘bats’ bottle vases
Guangxu six-character marks and of the period
Each enamelled around the bulbous body with a multitude of iron-red
bats flying amid yellow, blue, pink and green cloud scrolls above stiff
lappets at the foot, the shoulder with a band containing four gilt shou
characters alternating with lotus, the flaring neck similarly decorated
with bats and cloud scrolls beneath a band of ruyi head at the rim.
Each 38.7cm (15¼in) high (2).
