A large famille rose figure of a dignitary
Guangxu
The finely modelled figure wearing a gilded scholar’s cap above the
delicately shaded face, each ear and the moustache and beard
set with strands of real hair, the figure wearing a heavy ruyi-shaped
necklace over the red-ground robe richly enamelled with six four-
clawed dragons and various Buddhist symbols, the left arm cradling
a ruyi sceptre enamelled to imitate inlaid jade, and the right hand
resting on the wide belt also enamelled as if inlaid with jade.

Yongzheng seal mark, late Qing Dynasty
The rounded body brightly enamelled with two branches growing closely
together and issuing nine ripe yellow peaches with a speckled pink
bloom, amidst delicate pink and white blossoms and verdant leaves.
