A group of three red coral carvings
Late Qing Dynasty/Republic Period
Comprising a carving of two ladies, one standing with a phoenix
perched on her head and holding a loose hanging basket in its beak
and the other lady resting against a branch also with a phoenix
perched on her head, gilt wood stand, 23/2cm (9 1/8in) high; a figure
of Guanyin holding a lotus and riding on a dragon over waves, fixed
stand, 9/8cm (3 3/4in) high; and a lady holding a lotus spray over her
shoulder, wood stand, 8.5cm (3 3/8in) high. (6).

A coral carving of Fu Xing and boy
Late Qing Dynasty
The scholar carved wearing a high-peaked cap with raised flaps over
the ears, an oval pendent tied with a long sash at the waist and two
shoes with ruyi-head toes peeking from under the long flowing gown,
the figure carrying a boy with hair in two high knots either side of his
head and holding up a branch, wood stand.
