A CELADON-GROUND UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND COPPER-RED
MOULDED SLENDER VASE, GU
19TH CENTURY
清十九世紀 粉青地青花釉裏紅山水人物圖觚式瓶
The vase is decorated to the central raised section with two carved and incised
chilong in reserve on a blue ground alternating with lingzhi fungus. The upper
and lower registers are decorated with mountainous riverside landscapes
depicting fsherman in their boats and pavilions. The trees are highlighted in
copper-red and the rocks and mountains with a celadon glaze. The base has an
apocryphal Kangxi mark.

DECORATED CELADON-GLAZED VASE
19TH CENTURY
清十九世紀 粉青地青花釉裏紅瑞獸紋瓶
The vase is decorated in underglaze blue and copper red with a phoenix above
a qilin to one side and a sinuous dragon beside a turtle to the other side, all on a
celadon-glaze ground moulded with scrolling waves. The neck is applied with
two archaistic dragon handles.
