A PAINTED ENAMEL ‘EUROPEAN SUBJECT’ OVAL TRAY
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
清乾隆 銅胎畫琺瑯西洋人物紋托盤
The tray is supported on four arched feet and is painted to the interior with a European couple seated on a
large woven mat beside various vases, garden seats and a table, all in front of a corridor with drapery.
The underside is decorated in puce with elaborate foral scrolls to the rim and within a central roundel.
