     A PALE CELADON AND RUSSET JADE POURING VESSEL, YI

     青白玉仿古匜

     The yi is supported on four lion-head feet and is carved to the body with a stylised band of archaistic kui
     dragons. The handle is carved with a mythical beast head and a further mythical animal with a loose ring
     below the spout. The stone is of a pale celadon tone with a few minor areas of russet inclusion.

     清十八世紀 青白玉荷葉形洗及花卉紋洗一組兩件

     One brush washer is carved in the form of a lotus leaf growing beside a lotus fower and pod with several
     curled stems forming the foot. The stone is of an even pale tone. The other washer is carved in the form of a
     begonia fower growing from a leafy stem, with a dragonfy to one side. The stone is of an even pale tone.
