     TWO SOAPSTONE STANDING FIGURES
     18TH-19TH CENTURY

     清十八/十九世紀 壽山石人物立像 一組兩件

     The smiling fgures are carved wearing long scholar’s robes and each holding a bamboo fute. The robes of
     one fgure are decorated with shou characters and phoenix roundels, while the robes of the other fgure are
     decorated with incised qilin. The stones are of a mottled cream and red tone.
