                                                                The ornament is carved and pierced as two birds side by side with their beaks
                                                                touching, with fnely incised feathers to their backs. There is a small inset green
                                                                hardstone to the back of one bird. The stone is of an even milky white tone.

A PALE CELADON JADE ‘GEESE’ GROUP
18TH CENTURY

清十八世紀 青白玉母子鵝擺件

The group is carved as a large goose and two young trailing a
spray of lotus between them on a base of swirling waves. The
stone is of a pale celadon tone with white inclusions and grey
specks.
